While I will be talking about the influence of natural light as part of my process, we will cover other aspects as well. This is a very deep subject, and though I don't claim to have a thorough understanding of it from every angle, I have been working in this area since 1995, so you'll get the benefit of my experience(s). I promise I will teach everything I know about this topic. There will be a series of ongoing assignments and homework. Plenty of lectures and examples. One on one critiques, as well as group. If you're interested, please submit a portfolio (online link to your work) to the Animation Collaborative. All images below are the copyright of Disney/Pixar.

This is very exciting Bill! I wish this was an online class. it would be one of a kind opportunity to study film lighting with you. Have an awesome class.
Thanks Dalibor. I'm looking forward to teaching it. It'll be fun to dig in and explore this with a group of motivated folks.
I would totally sign up for this class if there wasn't a pacific ocean in the way. You will have some very lucky students
oh this will be great :) it will be great, if you could share few things from the class here .
This class looks amazing! It's great to see an instructor as motivated as his students will be. I'm submitting my portfolio and hoping for the best. Good luck to anyone else applying!
Thanks Tegan.
Ravi: I'll consider putting some class information up here.. So far, this blog has been primarily for my personal work, but who knows.
